EIRNS—Chinese television network CCTV included an interview with Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche in their round-up of world reactions to the just concluded Beijing meeting of "CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties."
The CCTV report stated in part:
"A German expert and scholar followed with interest the dialogue between the CPC and fellow world political parties at a high-level meeting. A reporter from CCTV interviewed Helga Zepp-LaRouche, founder and president of the Schiller Institute, a well-known German think-tank. Let’s watch the report.
"REPORTER: Regarding the dialogue at the high-level meeting between CPC and fellow world political parties, Helga Zepp-LaRouche, founder and president of the Schiller Institute, a well-known German think-tank, thinks that `the idea put forward by President Xi, of a common destiny for mankind, is very important.’
"LaRouche also highly praised the BRI. She believes that the BRI eliminates the root cause for wars between countries, and constructs a safe world of `fairness and justice’ through `mutual benefit and collaboration.’ It provides a very good platform, through which to achieve a shared community for mankind."
The video quoted her saying: "Leaders in my view should have a vision. They should have perspective [of] where they bring their country. You know this is something I would wish other leaders would come forward and have similar vision. I think not only China, but the whole world can be very happy to have a leader in this powerful position," commented Zepp-LaRouche, who is the founder and president of the Schiller Institute, a well-known think tank based in Germany. The video then showed her reading the brand new special report, and closed in on the title "Extending the New Silk Road to West Asia and Africa."
CCTV continued its report, "For this German thinker, the concept of the Belt and Road has provided a common platform for countries to eradicate root causes of wars and to achieve shared growth through discussion and collaboration.
" ’I’m really convinced that the New Silk Road is the concept to move mankind into a new era, where we stop having to waste of our energy with conflict and war and subversion and these things, but where we can focus our energies on the common aims of mankind, said Zepp-LaRouche."
