TLO—In the 1970s, Lyndon LaRouche proposed trade backed by an agreement of oil-for-technology. The Iran-China deal is a harbinger for many more such agreements in the future, allowing development outside of the neo-colonial system controlled by private central banks, the City of London, and the IMF. The future is here, not the dystopian one of the Rules-Based Order, using wars, austerity and Green ideology to prevent development, but one moving ahead, exemplified by discussions of African development at the just-concluded BRICS summit.
