The American Roots of Sinn Fein: The Story of Arthur Griffith
30 November 2010
November 28th marked the 105th anniversary of the founding convention of the patriotic Irish nationalist movement Sinn Fein. Arthur Griffith, Sinn Fein’s founder, based his vision for a sovereign Ireland, politically and economically independent from the British, on the American ideas of Henry Carey and Friedrich List. Let us bring the spirit of Arthur Griffith back to life today, as we find ourselves in the position to finally win the war which patriots of both Ireland and the USA have fought for so long: to bring down the British Empire, once and for all. |
